BAIL BONDS - A Tierrasanta murder suspect wanted in Corona was arrested and five Tierrasanta schools went into lockdown for about 90 minutes Tuesday. San Diego Police searched for Matthew Rowley, a murder suspect from Riverside County . The 22-year-old fled from San Diego police officers and disappeared into the neighborhood for about 6 hours according to cbs8.com. He will need a bail bond if caught by the police.

The security measures at Vista Grande, De Portola Middle School, Kumeyaay, Serra High, and Tierrasanta elementary schools were enforced about 1 p.m after San Diego police reported that Matthew Rowley of Corona was a wanted fugitive for a bail bond.  He was reported to be in the vicinity and might be armed said the San Diego Police Department.

Police officers also closed down several streets while searching on foot and patrolling above from a helicopter according to 10news

The lockdowns were cancelled about 2:30 p.m., said the San Diego Unified School District Communications Department.

Pupils at Kumeyaay Elementary, the closest campus to the spot where Matthew Rowley disappeared, were bused to a nearby high school as an added safety precaution.

Around 6 p.m., San Diego police officers arrested Matthew Rowley near a home in the area, It was not immediately clear if Rowley, who surrendered peacefully, was friends with someone who lives at in Tierasanta.

Matthew Rowley was wanted in connection a deadly shooting that occurred near Corona on Jan. 16 2013 said the Corona Police Department.

On Jan 16th at 9:30 that night, corona police officers responded to reports of gunfire found 20-year-old Daniel Stordahl of Corona dead from multiple bullet wounds near Border Avenue.

Investigators arrested Patrick Kohler, 22, of Riverside on suspicion of driving the get away car. Matthew Rowley was later identified as the gunman according to police. Rowley was hiding form police authorities and his whereabouts remained a mystery until Tuesday.

The motive for the slaying of Patrick Kohler was unknown, and it was unclear if Rowley and the victim had been acquainted, Velasco said.

A southern California law enforcement task force based in Anaheim aided the Corona police in the case and gathered information indicating that Matthew Rowley was both seen and hiding out in San Diego.

When San Diego officers spotted Matthew Rowley near a park around state Route 52 he immediately ran and was able to lose police officers for six hours.

He will be taken to the San Diego Jail booking and arrest process before being transported back to Corona Ca.  His bail bond in the Riverside Jail and San Diego Jail will be high around a $1 million dollars.

However, there is no bail bond available from the crime of murder or attempted murder.  Most likely he will need a bail bond review to take place after Matthew Rowley’s arraignment.

He is looking at being sentenced for the crime of murder with up to life in prison.  Writing a San Diego bail bond would be risky on Mathew Rowley because he has nothing to lose.  When a criminal arrested in Tierra Santa is looking at life or death in prison, they will most likely skip bail.  I would definitely need Dog the bounty hunter to catch him.

Wow, a million dollar bail bond. The amount seems kind of high, but then again, he tried to run in the first place. Not sure if the bail bond in Santa Barbara would be the same. Interesting story.
